Aerogelic Hot Air Ballooning:
A Child's Hot Air Balloon Ride in Phoenix
Once upon a time...
...a little girl named Alex and her little sister named Tori went for a hot air balloon
ride in Phoenix. Their uncle was the pilot and his name was Shane Cory.
It was four o’clock in the morning we had to hurry and get ready and take
showers and wear something warm. It was going to be cold outside. After we
got ready we were on our way to pick up the other family we didn’t know that
were going ballooning with us. When we got to the motel they were staying in
across town it was five forty-seven. We picked them up and took them to the
My sister and I helped our uncle air up the balloon...
...it took about an hour to get every thing ready for the trip. It was freezing out
side the person that was going to be following us in a vehicle on the ground so
we wouldn’t get lost name was Sean.
We were ready for take off we all jumped in the basket Shane started the
burners and we started to rise. We rose higher and higher. Soon we were two
hundred feet in the air it was cold out side but the burners kept every one warm.
We could see the whole city of Phoenix! People in their yards or walking and
even driving were waving at us.
We had a blast.
It was getting later so it was getting hotter...
...we had to land soon. The wind was getting bad and it was
hard to find a spot to land. We needed to get lower for a better
chance. There was a park ahead what a relief we landed in the
park Sean was there before us we packed the balloon back up.
I Earned My First Flight Certificate!
Before we left we had a snack. Since it was my first time and I
was Shane’s niece (part of the family), he made me drink
sparkling water like a dog in a cup off the ground. Then he
drenched me in the rest of the sparkling water. I started
laughing. We ate snacks there was crackers with cheese, little
bite sized sandwiches, and soda, there was wine too (but only
the adults had that).
When we were done eating we took the other family back to
there motel, Then we had to go fill up the propane tank for the
next hot air balloon ride. After we went back to my uncles house,
when we got there it was twelve twenty five. It was time for me
to take a nap.
All in all I had a great time ballooning and any one out there
that read this who has not gone should go.
And parents don’t
be afraid to take your children along. They will be safe. To let you
know my cousin Dakota went ballooning when he was three
months old. My cousin Tanner is four and he goes all the time.
I love ballooning and I cant wait to go again.
